Do You See a Lot of Variation in the Extent to Which Negative Public Opinion Affects Striking Workers?
Do you see much diversity in the extent to which workers in different sectors are more or less easily swayed by shifts in public opinion? That's a really interesting question. There's definitely the perception around the RMT that they've kind of taken up the the mill wall approach of, you know, nobody likes us, we don't care. I do think that definitely unions who have more experience of going out on strike are potentially better at hearing negative public opinion and being able to cope with that.
