Crypto Games - What's the Jump the Shark Moment?
There are some interesting game success stories, but the troubling thing about this market is that so many of the potentially interesting game projects seem like afterthoughts. The board ap yacht club announced that they had hired British developer Improbable to do a massively multiplayer game intended to be a playground for the board apes. I can't find a single instance of this technology actually working outside of some non game contexts, but that hasn't stopped them from hyping it. Hype follows hype game recognizes game.
