The Lesson to Take From Cosmology

The future is much longer than the next election cycle. We have to be humble and realize also that because we're a young species, thereis so much we don't yet understand. If you think of humanity as a child, what do you want to do as a parent with this child? You want them to be careful, not do reckless things. And finally, you want curage your child to dream big, because there's no better way to fall short of your potential than to convince yourself that great things are impossible.
