The Importance of Adaptive Design in Drug Development
Cospani: I think there is still a way to go and more that we can commercialize within statistics and pharmacists. One other topic is pediatrics using information generated in adult trials to inform pediatric trials where we know we have fewer patients. The theory for adaptive designs exists for a long time and it's not so straightforward and so easy to implement adaptive designs in drug development. And then the last point maybe I want to make is causal inference has been developed for the last 30 more years and we just start now to pick it up in randomized trials.
