Athena's Gift to Perseus
Perseus tried to sneak behind medusa and attack her without looking, but it was impossible. The nakes could always sense him, even behind her. He let out a cry as he brought the sword down on her neck. Medusa's head lay on the floor of the cave, a small smile still on her lips. Perseus grabbed the head, put it in his satchel, mounted his flying horse and began the long journey home.
