Is Covering Your Ness a Safety Option?
Covering your needle means it's never open to air, at least except for a couple points where it must be. It reduces the risk of air embolism in the rare patients who are at high risk for it. Some people say it is physically more challenging because adding a syringe to the needle makes it more unwieldy.
