Psychoanalysts: Is It Unfalsifiable?

Solake: Freud's theory is unfalsifiable for any practising psychoanalyst. He says we need to know what it would take to reject a theory and falsify it, even if it is not yet falsified. Solake: The fact that freud cannot answer that question proves that he is not engaging in science. But nevertheless, his concept of the unconscious has itself come back from the dead into the scientific main stream.
