The Pirate Radio Act of 1967
Caroline d js asked listeners to speak up in their defence, and they did. Even a tory politician made headlines by calling the bill a quote kiljoy. The act would go into effect at the stroke of midnight on august fourteenth, 19 67. As that date drew closer, other pirate radio stations started shutting down. But o'rahle, who has been running things from the headquarters on land, said, i don't care the government can do whatever they want. People deserve free radio.
