Why We Eat What We Eat
Alex, how do you describe your work to people who might not be familiar to your specific field or might not be in science at all? I just try to answer the question, why do we eat what we eat? Why do we make these food choices? And really, I'm going to frame this why our system is important. Over 300,000 preventable deaths a year are attributable to diet. That makes diet and diet choice a really important health behavior.
