Pepas can be passed along from mothers to their children during pregnancy and breast feeding. We're more sensitive to chemical exposures early in our lives when our bodies are still growing and developing. Low income communities and communities of color may have disproportionately high levels of exposure. Many water supplies that are finding pfa in their source waters are small water supplies.
