The Hegachiama Culture in Japan

Much of what we think of as traditional culture in japan is descended from th hegaciama culture and thus from yoshima's patronage. Ach kaga, yoshi masa should probably, and frankly, never have been shogan. He was utterly unsuited for leadership, particularly during an age of profound crisis. His tastes have in a certain sense, defined what is tasteful, at least in a classical sense, for half a millennium after his death.
