Mind Maps and Outlines - Which One Fits Better?

There are advantages to using mind mappings that outlines won't give you, no matter how logical your brain tends to work like mine. I also think, for some strange reason, outlines don't get people into creative space. Sometimes it makes more sense to look at the same information from an outline perspective than a mind mapping perspective. Being able to easily switch between the two is really helpful.
