Carl Hoffman writes a book called Savage Harvest, A Tale of Cannibals, Colonialism and Michael Rockefeller's tragic quest for primitive art. He says that he keeps hearing various iterations of the same story. People are telling him, look, Michael Rockefeller did make it to shore. Men from this village had a series of internal arguments, and then as a result of their conversations, they killed him.
