I think this conversation is just the beginning of how do we bring safe forms of ecstasy that are well-boundreed, that are personal and not just conceptual in our heads. Going back to creation of God made us to participate in the fullness of his person, which is his pleasure. And so when we settle, for like what you said, unsafe versions of ecstasy, we're settling for perversions of beauty, perversions of truth,perversions of goodness. It totally dehumanizes us.
