The Curse of Good Soil, Land Fertility, Roads and Rural Poverty
In parts of africa where there is a very high quality soil, very fertile soil, those parts tend to have higher poverty. So we should be focusing more on developing roads that improve market access than thinking about sending fertilizers. In particular, places with high agricultureof pro-prosperity are worse instances of poverty because they have the lack of access to good roads.
