What Is the Athlete Profile?

The athlete profile is almost linked and pretty well related to muscle fiber composition. Depending on where the maximal or speed sits in relation to the maximal sprinting speed, you will have either a sprinter type or a hybrid type. And why does profiling the athlete like that matters is because those profile will respond very differently to the type of work you program for them  and your overall load that they can support. That comes from more recent studies when they are really looking at associations between muscle fiber contents or type fiber typology and resistance to tolerance to loading.
