The Fig Tree Represents the House of Israel
In Matthew 21 verse 18, Jesus curses a fig tree that he saw on his way into Jerusalem. The next morning as they passed by, the Fig Tree dried up from the roots. Peter remembering what he said the other day has a comment about it. This is where you and I need to perk up our ears because Jesus is basically saying your day is over and now the Gentiles get the gospel. We must be successful with the gospel.
