The Importance of Starting Out as a Clone
I like what you said about following someone too closely and then wanting to back off because you eventually become like a copy of that person. So then you're kind of losing your own voice so you're not making your own discoveries. Of course, some people do find a decent amount of work and success in that route. But the way I see it, you're pretty much becoming a clone of that person and they could just hire the original. It's perfectly fine starting out as a clone early on.
