Is Distributed Cognition a Part of Moral Psychology?
I started in on that project of thinking about distributed cognition on the assumption that something would fall out of that for understanding moral psychology and collective action. I think what I realized is that understanding the conditions under which collective action works to achieve a particular goal doesn't necessarily give you purchase on questions in moral psychology. And if we want a story about moral psychology that's a plausible story it has to be capable of making sense of the different strategies people employ when they're in an extractive or cooperative situation.
