The Power of Self-Directed Learning
Coaching was an actuality, probably a little bit ahead of what my teaching was. I've been listening to your podcast and Rob Gray for the past five or six years. It is all very self-directed learning. And so that really started to shift my thinking in a classroom from a more teacher-centered approach to a more student-centered approach. So when I came across an opportunity through my school, they offered a grant. They have a travel grant and I applied for it and got accepted. The travel grant was to come to the UK and be immersed in around practitioners in the sporting world that are fully gone into student centered learning.
