Is There a Promise of Globalization?
Rana Purogg: I found compelling Rana's argument that there was kind of a promise that globalization would lead to greater understanding, less tension and perhaps less negative competition. He said things like Brexit come about because of the breaking or the lack of fulfillment of that promise. David Frum: Globalization emerges from all of those voluntary, very often voluntary interactions. It is in many ways neutral. You can choose to imbue it with certain hopes and expectations and you may be disappointed depending on where in the world you are.
