Daniel, Chapter 9 - 70 Weeks Are Decreed

Daniel, chapter nine opens with daniel's recognition that the 70 years spoken of in the prophecy of jeremiah were shortly to be completed. Jeremiah also prophesies on the matter in chapter 29, verse ten. This occurs in the first year of the reign of darius, here further described as the son of ahaz uarus.
