Phoebe Kates - A Tean Model
Phoebe kates was offered the female lead in a film called paradise 17. She had been a ballet dancer until the age of 14, and then started working regularly as a model. On her covers of 17, kate's was always presented as the embodiment of the fresh faced, all american beauty. Kates denied the power of nepotism but she made that denial in interview magazine for which she was talking to bob colicello and andy warhall. Phoebe spoke matter of factly, and from the undisguised position as the daughter of a producer, about the way the industry made an actress's willingness to disrobe virtually a prerequisite for casting.
