The Importance of Iceland
Bores was obsessed with England, with Europe. His grandmother was English and he loved the literature. He saw Iceland too as this sort of weird, like survivor,. Like it hadn't grown with the rest of Europe, but it was still European. So it was like there were still remnants. It's like if you could go to an island and there was still a dinosaur living there. That's kind of what Iceland was like to him. Bores is cranking out a book every six months or so as a six 70 something year old blind man in ill health.
