Is Ubuntu Compatibility With Mutual Aid?

We find ourselves in a situation where we must give away our labor, our time and really our whole lives just to survive. But that giving is not done out of the goodness of our hearts or as part of a system. I don't think the state is compatible with the acknowledgement of one's responsibility to their fellow humans and the world around them.
