The Effects of Dogs on Social Intelligence
Scientists at the University of Arizona recently discovered that dogs and two-year-old humans show similar patterns of something called social intelligence. Dogs like humans probably evolved or changed over millions of years to become friendly, as you said, survival of the friendliest.
