Geologist Donald Molinot and his colleague Dwight Crandall have been spending their summers driving and walking around Mount St. Helens. They discovered that the volcano was relatively young, having formed about 40,000 years ago. The two rocket-lava nerds knew their shit, but when anyone else listened to what they were going to tell them, it didn't go over well.
