Autobahn Construction Is a Costly Signal of Opposition to the Regime

White paper about the autobahn construction program of 1933-34. Shows that there's a strong correlation between autobahn building and a fall in opposition to the Nazi regime. Results suggest road building was highly effective reducing opposition to the nascent Nazi regime.
