What's Going on in Chapter Two?

Cervarion says this is maybe a clue to our current situation. So now we have a story whose entire purpose is to tell us about how magical travel can happen. And so our Cevarian and Agea, rather than walking into a walled garden, actually temporarily walked into another universe and finding a way back somehow after that.
