The big lie that entrepreneurs and their VCs tell is about cash versus LTV, right? It's like, we're spending money on user growth to increase our cumulative LTV. We pay lip service to LTV, but really it's just about customer acquisition because somebody else is going to buy us in those users anyway. Which is enough to keep the valuation up and keep my supply of cheap capital coming in. "We are going from scarcity to abstraction and then abstraction is pulling into abundance into being," he says.
