The Sour Wine of the Nazareth
In Psalm 69 verse 21, the soldiers gave Jesus vinegar or sour wine to drink. The word oxos is used in reference to something that's sort of a sour and makes you pucker your lips. Some people suggest it's like a condiment; others say it's an alcoholic drink. When you kind of trace its orbit through the rest of the scriptures, it ends up at the lips of Jesus on the cross.
