How to Negotiate With the Internal Audience
You're trying to negotiate with the internal audience and negotiating with the internal audiences like trying to negotiations with an IRS auditor. Your internal audience is saying, hey, you are potentially selling yourself short of your potential competitive standing because you were indulging in this cheat meal every week. And so you're not going to make any headway as far as overcoming that dissonance until you get more information about whether it's true that there is a big happiness difference between social life and those 10 pounds. That experiment that you should run would be one of extreme diligence about cutting out the cheat meal.
