In 1844, there was a German doctor that actually created an illustrated book of children's stories. It includes a story about fidgety Phil who falls off the chair and all the food falls off the table as well. And it is interesting too, though, that both of these characters are male. You know, attention issues, hyperactivity, distractibility was not even recognized in a children's story in girls at that time.
