It's almost people identify with Liverpool more than they do with England, where we live a poo light. So it's like and if you say to people in Birkenhead, so people may know the phrase scouser, which is a Liverpool saying for what you are. And there's just so much character in all these different accents. But do you try to learn them then when you go to do your shows? It is also a bit of a madness. I find that fascinating too.
Special Guest Mark Steel joins me to discuss cultural and linguistic differences between the UK and France, plus accents in the UK and a little tour of some places in the UK that you don't know about. Also includes a discussion of swearing and rude language in Britain. What is the R word which you should never say in a specific part of the UK? Listen on to find out.
