If they want to practice within a science-based profession, then they have to adhere by scientific rules. To practice as physiotherapists in the UK, has a BSC or an MSC in physiotherapy. So the science is in there. It might take them years to develop a proper sham. But while that's happening, they're going to have to take it on the chin and other people are starting to start taking it out of their guidelines.
