The Irony of the Gospels
In the past, when I was a Christian, you'll see pictures of Jesus and Mary as Caucasian individuals who were just like other white Westerners. The sense of Muhammad, peace be upon him as an alien other is very ironic because he's from the same part of the world that both are from. And there's a great irony there and a great injustice as well. When I began to really get close to Islam, what I found was an incredibly egalitarian religion where respect is earned through knowledge and through another word of mine, takwa.
