I'm Still in the Gym, a Lot of Kettle Bell Swings and Get Ups and Things Like That.
i met joel jamieson years ago, helped him with some projects. i got really into his tin, like training with a heart rate monitor or so. I feel healthier than iave felt in a long time. Still big basic movements, presses and things. But i'm getting more aware ofjust movement patterns in general.
While Nate Green started out like many of us as a coach and gym owner, he quickly realized that that wasn’t where his true passion resided, so he dove head first into the world of fitness writing.
Nate is currently the Director of Content Strategy at Waking Up, an advanced meditation app with over 50,000 5-star reviews.
Prior to that, he spent over a decade working behind the scenes at Precision Nutrition and other influential health and fitness companies.
He’s written for T-Nation, Men’s Health magazine, and has been featured in the LA Times and Tim Ferriss’s blog.
And while we WILL talk about writing, perhaps more importantly in this show we’re going to talk about COMMUNICATION.
Regardless of what your job title is, or what segment of the fitness industry you reside in, we can all work to improve our communication skills.
We talk about what led Nate to the world of writing, and when he realized that training and coaching just wasn’t going to be his full-time gig.
And last but not least, we talk about the evolution of his own training, and when he moved from being your classic everyday meathead, to something a little bit more well-rounded.
I had an editor, I was on a deadline, and I was passionate about what I was writing about so I put in a lot of reps at T-Nation. – Nate Green
