The Impact of Religion on Violence
I think there is one great impact on the study of religious violence that started in the late 1960s with the literature of Johann Galton and later on also with Pierre Bourguier. So if you approach religion from this material perspective, much more can be seen. We thought it was interesting to include this in understandings also of religion related violence.
