The Sleepless
The Sleepless is Victor Manobou's sapphire noir debut. It takes place in near future New York, where a minority of the population has lost the need for sleep. The idea of not needing sleep and not being able to sleep was very attractive to me. But writing this book converted me from a person who would want to be sleepless into not wanting to be insomnia.
