Is the State of Consciousness Science Like Newtonian Physics?

The state of consciousness science is not like Newtonian physics, but rather more like superstring theory or something where we're talking about super partners. That's all coming from an assumption about naturalness and something that's very theoretical. The theory is then empirically tested. But first, you have to have something that's incredibly general. And I think it almost worries me that you guys are trying to create something like a superstring theory. You know, Newton was not nearly as ambitious.
