Pre-Hospital Telestroke Evaluation

A lot of emergency transport services now have some type of stroke screening tool they may use. And that serves both to triage patients, but also may actually inform routing practices. How does your pre-hospital telestroke evaluation compare to some of those other scores and tools? The standard practice in our region is that we have a service called Wellington Free Ambulance with paramedics that are trained to respond to a variety of medical emergencies. So when they pick up a patient with new neurological symptoms, they are taught to ask if this could be a stroke.
