The most important point, i think, about the scientific assessment of eternal recurrence is that it doesn't seem to hold up mathematically. To make what simel says clear as best i can in plain terms, eternal occurrence is just simply not necessitated by a finite amount of mass or energy existing in these states for an infinite amount of time.
