What Is the Default Position of a State of Constant Warfare?
In the middle east, they've been killing each other for millennia. Their normal state is a condition of war. And this associated idea that arabs and moslems don't value human life the way that the west does, so we shouldn't value their lives either. That's not how things work in the world. These are cycles that need to be understood historicallyand rooted often in real conflicts. If we don't understand the basis of conflict, then there is no way that we can actually think about how we might rationally adjudicate in ways that lead to a situation that might be peaceful.
