Is Crimea Really a Case of Romanian Citizenship?

In the last 20 years, around a million Moldovan citizens have acquired Romanian citizenship. Crimea is also assumed to be a case where a lot of people prior to Russia's annexation in 2014 had already been what is described as kind of passportized. So actually the book ends up arguing that, yeah, Moldova is a case of kind of en masse acquisition of Romanian citizenship, but Crimea prior to Russia’s annexation in 2014 really isn't. It looks at how and why that might be the case.
