The Wackiest QB Season in the NFL
The 2022 San Francisco 49ers had one of the wackiest QB seasons a successful team has had in a long time. Jimmy Garoppolo was throwing on a side field while Brock Purdy and Nate Sudfeld were competing to be number two at the time. Trey Lance started the season, but he hurt his ankle against the Seattle Seahawks. The next week they traded for Christian McCaffrey who took over as their starting quarterback.
