Is Complexity a Choice of Disconnection?
We live in an increasingly complex world, which means the actions that we take need to be increasingly complex. And I think that it sometimes in the face of that complexity, which is a globalized world with a financialized economy, kind of entrapping everybody and running everything beyond any one person or one government's control. So perhaps it's a complexity that we just can't quite grasp at all the time. And therefore, it's easier to choose a kind of disempowerment because on some phenomenological level, we actually are disempowered because things are too complex now.
