The Need for a Culture Shift in the State Department

The State Department is the oldest cabinet agency and it needs to be modernized. I think we're in a moment of modernization with the new secretary, Lincoln literally crafting a strategy that dovetails on some of the recommendations made in the Truman report. But I will say that there's a need for a culture shift. So even me being on this podcast is kind of unusual. And I don't think that many Foreign Service officers would say, yes. It matters to sort of think about workplace flexibilities.
