Do your homework on the investment arm that you're dealing with. If they really understand the enterprise, are networked in or bottom-up and can articulate that well, the probability of them being a good investment partner for you goes way up. Often a lot of the CVCs have board representatives. Do they understand what it means to be a board member on your company? That's a tricky point for aA venture can learn a lot by just the nature of how they interact with you in terms of their degree of insight and how the company operates.
