Light dash is a data analytics tool for business intelligence. It's built on the Yelp platform, and has been used by thousands of companies around the world. Light ash was founded in 2011 as an offshoot of yelp’s cloud-based Yammer service. The company now also offers its own version of light dash called ‘Yelp Dash’ which allows users to create their own dashboards with information from other tools.

The market for business intelligence has been going through an evolutionary shift in recent years. One of the driving forces for that change has been the rise of analytics engineering powered by dbt.
