The Importance of Symbolism in Catcher in the Rye
There's just so many resonant themes that just like hit home again for the kind of lonely, bitter, weirdo kids that grew up watching anime. I'm kind of surprised I didn't see the title catcher in the rye at any point in terms of an influence because there's also just like catching the rye has all these little touches all throughout it in terms of symbolism. There's all these little symbolic indicators for suramaki's work as well, such as the characters being left or right handed. In the guitars, the rickenbacher base that Haruka has has been interpreted as the idea that she is not the focus. It is not her story.
